POLYETHYLENE GLYCOL 400

Polyethylene glycol, abbreviated as "PEG". It is a polymer compound formed by dehydration and condensation of ethylene glycol between molecules. Chemical formula HOCH2 (CH2OCH2) nCH2OH. Among them, n is greater than 4. The average molecular weight is between 200 and 7000. The number after polyethylene glycol represents the average molecular weight of the product. For example, polyethylene glycol-400 indicates that the average molecular weight of polyethylene glycol in this product is about 400.

ETHYLENE GLYCOL

Colorless transparent viscous liquid, sweet taste, with hygroscopicity. It is miscible with water, lower aliphatic alcohols, glycerol, acetic acid, acetone and similar ketones, aldehydes, pyridine and similar coal tar bases, slightly soluble in ether, and almost insoluble in benzene and its homologues, chlorinated hydrocarbons, petroleum ethers and oils.

Dicyclohexylamine

Dicyclohexylamine is a widely used chemical intermediate. It can be used to absorb acidic gases, to preserve rubber latex, to plasticize casein, and to neutralize plant and insect poisons. Metal complexes of dicyclohexylamine are catalysts used in the paint, varnish, and ink industries. Dicyclohexylamine salts of fatty acids and sulfuric acid have soap and detergent properties used in the printing and textile industries. One of the most important uses of dicyclohexylamine is as a vapor phase corrosion inhibitor. It is used to protect packaged or stored ferrous metals from atmospheric corrosion (Schweizer et al 1978).
